Eyes are one of the most beautiful parts of the entire body. The color of eyes plays a particularly crucial role in the beautification of eyes. With colored contact lenses, people can change the color of their eyes to make them look more attractive. This is so easy and reasonable too.

Easy to use and highly affordable, the perfect contact lens can be determined by several factors including how natural it looks. Present day contact lens technology has guaranteed a completely authentic appearance for the lens which is formed out of precise materials to further support the look.

Corporations try to keep the look of these lenses as near as possible to the design of your natural eye. The pupil is an area in the eye that surrounds countless dots and lines. To make the lens look natural, some contact lens manufacturers use tiny colored dots on the lens. While the entire lens is colored, the part of the pupil from where you see is kept clear for clear vision.

There are four type of colored lens available including visibility, opaque color, enhancement and light filtering tints.

As the name implies, visibility tints add a hint of green or blue to the original eye color. Ideally, visibility tints are used along with corrective lenses. The opaque version of these colored contact changes the eye color utterly. And don’t worry, they do not look artificial either.

Enhancement tints make the color of your natural eyes deeper and are particularly useful if you want to cause a slight change in your appearance. Finally, light-filtering tints highlight certain colours by muting the others and are used by sports-persons and spectators.

If you are one of the experimental kinds then you might opt for costume lenses that change your eye color seriously. All thanks to these lenses, you could end up looking an animal or perhaps an alien. You will spot several folks donning these lenses at Halloween or costume parties.

However, there are some downsides to wearing colored contact lens as well. Though the lenses come in a variety of shapes and sizes to suit individual requirements, the colored portion may at times slide over the pupil, making it difficult to see. Also, the pupils change size according changing light sources and may not always stick to the size directions of the lens’ clear center.

Even people with astigmatism or bifocal lens requirements can opt for colored contact lens. However, ensure that you select a lens that’s in synchronization with the color of your skin, hair and eyelashes.
